A Case of the Mondays #19

Is it wrong that I’m already looking forward to lunch today?? I haven’t even eaten breakfast yet and I’m so excited to heat up my Olive Garden leftovers! We went for a late lunch yesterday to celebrate finishing up my first double wedding weekend, then I treated myself to a few of my favorite movies to watch while I marathon edit this week. Do you guys watch tv while you edit? I picked up that habit back when I was home schooled. My sister and I would do our school work every afternoon with the TV on in the background! Fun times! I used to really wish that we weren’t home schooled (I am still bummed I never got to go to a prom), but these days I’m really grateful for that time in my life because I learned how to manage my time and get my work done on my own, without the structure that school or a day job enforces!

A double wedding weekend means double the wedding peeks!! On Friday, Stephanie and Scott were married in Bristow, VA! Stephanie added so many fun little DIY touches and gave me so much time for portraits. The weather was perfect and it was such a fun day.

And on Saturday, Carmen and Tommy were wed in Newport News!! It may have rained, but it didn’t stress either of them out for a second. Carmen was probably one of the most chill brides I’ve ever worked with. She walked through mud puddles in pouring rain in her wedding gown for portraits!

Hope you guys enjoyed these peeks! Have a wonderful Monday!!

These sneak peeks are gorgeous! I love to listen to crime shows while I edit, Daniel thinks it’s the weirdest thing ever, but I love it!

Can’t wait to see more of these weddings!! I used to watch Grey’s while editing and then I got out of the habit of watching anything since my desk top was no where near the living room… until we got an iPad 🙂 Now I’ll sometimes watch Numb3rs while I edit. Love it!

  3. Beautiful!!! I recently started watching movies while I edit because it helps me focus! If I don’t do it my mind wanders and next thing in know – I’m on Facebook! Haha. I’m going to need to pick up some more movies for this season though. Thank you for reminding me of my love for 500 Days of Summer!

I’m so excited to see the Bristow wedding – that’s where I got married and I love that you shot there! I’m dying to actually photograph a wedding there now that I’ve been a bride at the same location! GREAT previews – can’t wait to see the rest!

  6. Love these previews, Katie! I can’t wait to see the full blog posts – everything looks so beautiful!

Beauty-full! I can’t wait to see the full posts for both of these! I always did homework/everything with the TV on and even fell asleep with it on. That all changed when Steve and I moved in together. We only have one TV in the house and it’s rarely on! It was definitely an adjustment but now that I’ve adjusted it’s kind of nice!

Gotta love brides that are open to getting a little dirty! No doubt she will think it was worth every muddy puddle. Gorgeous sneak peaks!
