Can we talk about the fact that this is the second week of July?? And this is my last week as a 25 year old! I’m starting to get a little sentimental you guys…time is just flying by so fast and I wish it would slow down for just a second so I could enjoy every last little bit. Sidenote: anyone have any ideas what John and I should do on Sunday for my actual birthday? I can’t decide on any plans for some reason…we have plans the night before with friends go karting though…should be fun!!

This weekend was technically my first weekend “off” in a little over two months and the first weekend in even longer that we spent together with neither one of us working! Instead of shooting a wedding on Saturday, John and I went to Busch Gardens with my friend Jen and some of her friends. We actually bought season passes (and have had them for a few years in a row now) but this is probably the first time in many years that we went for the day, walked the entire park, and did everything, even shows!
After walking the park all day my feet ended up feeling just as sore as if I had shot a wedding! I think that’s my fault though for wearing sandals with no support in them. What’s that saying again? Beauty is pain?

Sunday we drove to Warrenton to shoot Maureen and Jess’s engagement session at Jess’s family farm! And for anyone who doesn’t know this already, the Sunday after Fourth of July weekend is a terrible time to be anywhere NEAR 95. It took us nearly 4.5 hours to travel what should have taken us 2.5!! And on the way back we could see that traffic was STILL terrible on 95 north…even at 11pm! Craziness.

Luckily we still managed to make it to Warrenton! And though we brought a little summer storm with us, it cleared up enough for us to spend the rest of the evening shooting!
