I have to tell you guys something…this weekend I discovered what might be my new favorite thing…SHEETZ HAS HASHBROWN SANDWICHES!!! Not a joke people. This is as serious as a heart attack. Pun intended:) It turns out you can get a hashbrown added to any sandwich (que angelic heaven music) so couple that with pretzel rolls (my favorite) and I might have died and gone to heaven on the drive home from our wedding Saturday night. THIS IS GHOST KATIE BLOGGING TODAY. Okay, I’m totally kidding. And sorry for the morbid/weird/awkward jokes this morning. But seriously, you have to try one of those sandwiches! They da bomb:)

In other completely random weekend updates, I got a new monitor on Friday!! I’ve been running my business (including all editing) from the confines of a 15.6 inch laptop since the very beginning. I have to give my little HP laptop props for handling all of the things I put it through, especially since I originally bought it thinking it would “get me by” til I could afford the iMac I wanted. It’s been a really great computer, but recently I decided that it would make my life so much easier if I bought an external monitor, at least to edit on. It came on Friday and I am SO IN LOVE!!! It’s so much easier to see things on the bigger screen!! I got a 23 inch but compared to my laptop screen that feels ginormous!!! I can’t wait to get a wedding edited on this thing!

Speaking of weddings, Saturday’s wedding was so awesome!! I honestly feel so lucky to work with so many amazing clients and get to spend my weekends celebrating their weddings with them. Maureen and Jess’ weddings was so much fun. So relaxed, yet completely organized. Having planned a wedding myself, I’m still not 100 percent sure how these two managed to pull that off, but I’m in awe of their skills and of their love for one another. Their wedding was such a special day! Gorgeous light, gorgeous couple, and so many gorgeous handmade details!

Sunday was a much needed day of rest for us! We laid around, played Scrabble Slam, watched football, and I baked chocolate chip banana bread. I am so thankful to have days like yesterday to rest and recuperate and spend hanging out with John. It was awesome and now I’m so excited about what I have on my schedule for this week, including an engagement session with one of my October couples, and the wedding of two clients who have become dear friends since they booked with us last JULY!!

What are you guys up to today? Anything neat on the books for this week?

Yay for new monitors! 🙂 A crazy busy week ahead for me as well! Two engagement sessions and a portrait session! Meetings galore! I’m getting excited for Envision and the start of slow season!

I have zero idea how you can edit on a 15.6 inch monitor after having done it for a week. My computer broke, so I had to edit on my macbook and I wanted to claw my eyeballs out. I need at least 21 inches (that’s what she said, sorry, so inappropriate). I am so so so excited for you to see big size now! And omg, hubs came home with hashbrown pretzel melt the other day. You are so right. Delicious.

This week is super crazy for me with teaching, 3 consults, 2 weddings (Friday/Saturday) and 2 engagement sessions (both on Sunday!)

Thankfully things start slowing down after this week 🙂 I could really use some “me time” — something I haven’t seen a bit of since July.

  6. Krista says:
