A Case of the Mondays # 37

I’ve been looking forward to this past weekend for what feels like forever!! It’s been a little more than a year since Ann Carlisle and Ryan came into our lives and since then I think I’ve been anticipating their wedding almost as much as they have! Okay, maybe they were a LITTLE more excited…but just a little:)

We started our weekend early on Friday when we hit up Carter Mountain Orchard on our way to Staunton for Ann Carlisle and Ryan’s rehearsal dinner. I have been wanting to go to Carter Mountain Orchard for two years!! My main motivation for going there wasn’t even apples…it was the apple cider donuts! I don’t know if you guys know this about me (you probably do if you’ve been reading the blog for a little while or know me personally), but I LOVE DONUTS. I can literally eat six Krispy Kremes in one sitting without a problem and I’m not ashamed to admit it. I couldn’t just go to ANY orchard…it had to be the ones with the donuts…THE DONUTS. We got there a little too late to have fresh donuts, but we bought a bunch to take home and enjoyed apple cider slushies! It was a little too hot to enjoy hot cider, but the slushies were so good!! We are definitely going to have to go back when we have more time to spend picking apples!

Saturday was the day of the wedding!! Seriously, one of my favorite weddings to date. The weather was gorgeous, each detail was perfect and well thought out, and there were so many sweet and emotional moments throughout the day. Literally EVERYONE cried through the ceremony…I teared up a little bit myself! Here’s a little peek:

Not to take this post on a completely random tangent but during some downtime in our hotel room over the weekend we watched TLC for a little bit here and there and I noticed that their programming has taken a…weird turn. I miss Trading Spaces, Property Ladder (that one was on Saturday morning!), While You Were Out, etc. What happened to those shows?? While You Were Out was my FAVORITE!!! I had a huge crush on Andrew Dan Jumbo. Please tell me I’m not alone. Lastly, I think TLC  should introduce the Alaskan Women Looking for Love to the Secret Princes. Seems like a win/win to me.

That’s it for me this Monday! What did you guys do over the weekend??  Please comment if you were a WYWO fan too so I don’t feel like such a loser!!

Ahhhh you have me very sad now that I’m not going to Vermont this year. I go to Vermont every year to visit my family and one of my highlights of the trip is going to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill and getting their donuts, maple candies, and other delicious goodies. Yummmmmmmm.

This wedding seriously looks amazing and I love the pass sneaks you posted yesterday! So beautiful!

I can’t weigh in on the TLC talk as we don’t have cable. Losers!

  5. Squeeee! These are SO BEAUTIFUL!

I LOVED While You Were Out, but Trading Spaces was my FAVE. Just have to replace those with the Property Brothers on HGTV if I need a home improvement fix 😉
