Last Wednesday afternoon, while I was in Vegas at WPPI, a few of my friends and I piled into a minivan and headed out into the desert to hang out and do what photographers do…take pictures of each other! We drove about a half hour away from the strip to Red Rock Canyon, which was just spectacular! I could have stayed out there for hours, even camped out there if I had the chance. Other than another group of photographers who kept playing Bandz a Make Her Dance (which coincidentally is my JAM), it was so quiet and peaceful…like the crickets and stuff that are always making noise in Virginia are just too in awe of the desert’s beauty to make too much noise out there.

I just want to move to the west coast already! Seriously. They have the best light, the best weather, AND the best fast food too! In n Out burger, anyone?? It’s just not fair to come home to a chilly Spring on the east coast with all of these lackluster food options!! I mean, it’s almost cruel. Gah!

Loved the light that sunny afternoon, and the people I got to hang out with. I have to confess that I was super scared and intimidated to shoot around them because they are all SO good and I really admire their work (like in a somewhat fan girl type of way), but they did a great job making me feel like I fit in with them haha and I started feeling brave enough to shoot more toward the end:) I really wish I had taken more pictures, but I love the ones that I did get!
