As wedding photographers, you get to witness the entire wedding day (well, most of it) and it’s always such an neat experience because every wedding day is similar, yet very different. That might not make sense to you if you aren’t a wedding photographer or you haven’t been to a hundred-ish weddings like we have. But each day tends to be a reflection of the couple and tells me a lot about who they are and what they’re about.
One thing that’s always so interesting to see is who the bride and groom’s close friends and family are after spending the months leading up to the wedding getting to know the two of them. I noticed one thing at Amy and Mike’s wedding…that ALL of their guests were treasured friends and family to them. They are the kind of couple who don’t really make acquaintances with people, but make life long friends instead. So many people traveled from all over to be a part of their day and you could tell how very loved these two are!
Amy and Mike’s wedding also marked my first time visiting Cape May, NJ! They decided to get married there because Amy’s family rented a cottage there every summer while Amy was growing up. How sweet is that? I loved being a part of their wedding and we are so thankful to Amy and Mike for having us out to New Jersey for the weekend! Hope you all enjoy a few of my favorites from their wedding day!
After the ceremony we took one of the trolleys to the beach for a few photos with an iconic Cape May rowboat!
