A Case of the Mondays #39

I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like the last few weeks or so have just flown by! I looked at my calendar this morning and it finally started to sink in…not only are we almost to the end of October, we’re also almost to the end of another amazing wedding season! I can hardly believe it! This coming weekend are our last “regular season” weddings. What do I mean by “regular season”?? The regular season is something I call the busy/crazy times during the spring and then the fall. We’ve been in the thick of a nine week, 12 wedding stretch and we’re nearing the end! I can hardly believe it! Time has gone by so fast!

Remember when I was comparing the beginning of my season to going back to school? The end of a season feels a lot like the last day of school! It’s bittersweet! I love my job and I love shooting weddings every weekend, but it’s going to be really awesome to have a little bit of a break in between the sessions and other things we have on the books in November and December! We’re planning to go apple picking again (and really pick apples this time), going to a ship christening (!) for the boat John has been working on for three years, spending lots of quality time with friends and family, and hopefully making a trip out to NYC  to ice skate, be tourists, etc.

Over the weekend we were a part of not one, but TWO gorgeous weddings! Nic and Sarah were married on Saturday at Ford’s Colony Country Club. I’ve never seen a couple be happier to be married…and that’s saying A LOT because I spend time with a ton of newly married couples! These two threw an absolutely amazing party for their friends and family and I can’t wait to share it with you guys!

Sunday we had the honor of attending my cousin, Samantha’s wedding to her long time love, Justin! This was probably only the second time I’ve been a wedding guest!! It was so much fun, but felt kind of weird! I really enjoyed spending time with my family though, and getting to see these two finally tie the knot!! So jealous about their trip to the Bahamas this week though…I could totally see myself sitting on the beach with a fruity drink in my hand right now!

In other news, we are almost completely booked up for Envision, but we are giving away a seat to a deserving photographer! Check out Natalie’s blog post today for the full details and info on how to enter to win! This workshop is going to be such a great experience! I’m so excited I can hardly stand it!!

That’s it for me this Monday! I’m going to be spending the day in my office editing my heart out! What do you guys have on the agenda for today?

Happy almost end of wedding season! I have three more left this year and they’re pretty spread out so that feels great. Things start slowing down considerably for my teaching schedule after this week too. I am SO ready for a big deep breath and a day or two of doing nothing but cuddling with Sherlock.

I love the little mason jars from your cousin’s wedding! So cute. That sneak peek from Saturday’s wedding is also totally gorgeous! Happy monday 🙂

I agree with you, can’t believe it’s already end of October! My plans for today are unpacking two big suitcases & everything that comes with it!
