After getting confused about which cards had been used and which were blank more times than I’d like to admit, I recently decided it was time to figure out a way to organize my CF cards. For the longest time I didn’t really want to get a card wallet. I had been keeping my cards in the front pockets of my Kelly Moore bag…one pocket held the used cards and one held the unused. Doing it this way was actually pretty fast, because literally all I had to do was reach inside of the pocket and grab a card. The problem with that was I would frequently forget which pocket was which…and I was never 100 percent sure which card had which part of the day on it without checking it in my camera. It wasn’t really efficient at all, especially when it came to needing one of the cards for a same day slideshow or to upload a sneak peek of portraits really quick on my way home! To solve my organizational problems I ended up ordering the Think Tank Pixel Pocket Rocket case, which seemed to fit my needs.

I’ve been using it since the beginning of the Fall season and I absolutely love it!! It works as it’s supposed to and it keeps me SO much more organized than I was before. Yes, it takes me more time to actually un-velcro the wallet and remove a card, but it does save time in the long run!  After I format all of the cards and get them ready to use prior to a wedding, I stick them into the card wallet. Once I’ve used a card, I flip it over and return it to it’s slot. When I get home and upload the images to my computer, I turn it on it’s side so that I know that card has been emptied and can be formatted when I’m ready.

The case has a clip, but I don’t really use it. I keep it inside of my bag.
