Guilty pleasures

Personal

It’s so silly, but lately I have started watching old reruns of the Nanny on Nick at Nite almost every night at ten pm. I’m not big on scary movies or thrillers, and I sometimes don’t feel like I can get into a deep political drama or a serious historical period movie. I like what I like, and I’m learning to not be ashamed of it, even if it’s something super trivial and fluffy. I LOVE old sitcoms. I love how uncomplicated and fun they are. I like that they’re positive and funny, and often very silly. I don’t watch tv to feel more stressed or anxious…I watch it as an escape from all of the things that are going on in my life. Sitcoms (especially the Nanny) are the best way to just get wrapped up in someone else’s silly misadventure and then see it all get neatly wrapped up within 30 minutes (including commercials).

I LOVE the Nanny, and it’s something I look forward to almost every night:)

I feel ya girl! I LOVE watching the Nanny! And just like Ashley said, I love watching Friends right after. And I’ve also started watching Full House at night as well. Heck, I still watch Disney Channel regularly & am not ashamed! A lot of my friends make fun of me for it, but it’s good, clean TV that you can watch & don’t have to put a lot of thought in to.

Plus, it’s nice to watch while I edit… I can concentrate on what I’m doing, but still have some laughs thrown in! 🙂
