Life Happens

I had a full week of posts scheduled this week for the blog…unfortunately sometimes life intervenes with our plans and decides to mix things up…just for fun. Right now, I am blogging from my iPhone. GOOD TIMES. My computer power jack broke and once again set me into a mac vs. pc internal crisis. I like to think of myself as having mac tastes on a pc budget. Ha! We are also not the type of people to take out a computer on credit though…so until I can squirrel away the entire amount I would need to upgrade to a shiny new iMac, you will see me lugging around my barely one year old HP laptop. I mean, it does have a blu ray player so that gets some cool points right?

I wasn’t sure whether or not I would bring this whole thing up on the blog here, but I think there is a valuable lesson to be shared. I like to think that all of these little snafus that come up in life are not just around to annoy us, they’re there to teach us things. And right now I’m learning to prioritize what is important to me in life and also to recognize that sometimes as an adult you will have to make difficult choices and sacrifice things you would really like to have. My parents always showed me that there is no shame in working with what you have and that saving up is always better in the long run than owing someone for something you “own”.

So I guess I’ll let that simmer with you guys for the day. I AM typing this out on my phone after all. Sidenote: These two are getting married Saturday! Sidenote 2: Please tell me I’m not the only one who didn’t know what S/N meant on Facebook without looking it up on Urban Dictionary…

PS…Brooke and Justin’s blog post will be a special SATURDAY blog post this week!! I know you are excited 🙂

ah I have no idea what S/N means!!! yikers! I love this post and it is so true, I won’t buy any piece of gear until I can pay for it in full. I feel like it is the nature of our business too. You never know what is going to come your way so it is always smart to be prepared. I must say you did a really good job blogging from your phone!!!

Girlfriend I totally feel you on this whole situation. Shall we all remember that terrifying scare I had last month with running out of space?! But I definitely agree that these little snafus AREhere to teach us things, not only about how we react to challenges but also how to overcome these challenges and be better for it. I know it will be hard for a while, but just know that you will come out better and learn to be more resourceful because of this little bump in the road. Good luck!!
