I usually like to meet my clients at some point before their wedding day…it gives us a chance to get to know each other so it’s not super awkward on the day of the wedding! A lot of people don’t realize, your wedding photographer spends more time with you on your wedding day than your future spouse! That’s one of the reasons I try to make sure I’m a good fit for my clients personality wise. I wasn’t actually able to meet Shea and Josh until literally the day before their wedding, so I was just a little bit nervous about how the day might go, (Would they like me?? Would they think my suggestions and poses were crazy??) but it went so well at their sunrise engagement session I was over the moon excited about their wedding the next day! Shea and Josh are such a sweet and laid back couple and just by spending a little bit of time with them on Friday morning I could tell how much in love they were. Everything that happened on Saturday reinforced that and made me (and everyone else there) completely sure that they are 100 percent perfect for one another.
From Josh being so excited to start their first look and see his bride, to their beach bonfire at the end of the night, each moment of this wedding was just amazing! The day we shot it was actually my one year self employment anniversary and this perfect day reminded me how lucky I am to get to do what I do.
Shea and Josh: your wedding was amazing and I feel so lucky that you asked me to capture it for you! Hope you enjoy these peeks!
John went to take Josh downstairs to where the first look was supposed to happen and the girls peeked and caught a glimpse of him!
Instead of traditional wedding readings, Shea and Josh asked family members to stand up and say a little speech. I LOVED this. So sweet and personal!
One of my favorite parts of the day was the beach bonfire! What a perfect way to end a wedding!
