I think it’s only natural this time of year to start reflecting on the year that’s almost finished. Soon it’ll be time to start making and working towards our 2016 goals, but until then, I think it’s fun to look back at what made this year so fun! That’s the spirit behind today’s blog post, at least 🙂 I decided to round up the 10 most popular blog posts of the past year and share them here as a very extended “In case you missed it”.

The 10 Most Popular Blog Posts of 2015 (in no particular order)

1.  Emily & Cameron’s Lost Creek Winery Wedding
I loved working this wedding day with Hello Love Weddings!! Emily and Cameron are two of the sweetest people and being a part of their wedding was an honor!

2. How to Take an Epic Snow Selfie
I saw it was snowing one night and convinced John to run outside with me for a “quick” selfie in the snow, then decided to share a tutorial in this post

3. For Photographers: Booking Season Peaks and Valleys
I think this post was so popular because it covered something that we all go through as small business owners but we never really talk about it openly. I enjoyed writing this post and hoped it helped others feel like they weren’t alone in surviving those peaks and valleys!

4. Four
A fourth anniversary post sharing a little bit behind why I chose to take John’s last name as my own after marriage. This one is a personal favorite!

5. Lindsay & Jake’s Charlottesville Wedding
A favorite wedding from this year, for sure!! I loved Lindsay and Jake’s simple, rustic style!

6. Robyn & Nick’s Washington DC Engagement Session
I photographed at the Jefferson Memorial so many times this year, but Robyn and Nick’s sweet May evening engagement session was definitely a favorite! I’m looking forward to their wedding this upcoming May!!

7. Bonnie + Quentin’s Riverside on the Potomac Wedding
Bonnie and Quentin’s wedding day is one I’ll never forget! We all survived a tornado warning and mid-reception evacuation, which was a wedding day first for us! If you like beautiful details and classic southern elegance, this one is for you!

8. It’s Launch Day!
I was so proud and excited to launch my new website and promo film back in June!! This post is a good one if you haven’t seen our video yet 🙂

9. For Photographers: Tips for Photographing Rings
I find that a lot of my tutorial posts end up being very popular and this one was no different! I consider ring shots a favorite part of shooting wedding day details and I loved sharing how I approach them

10. Italy – Part One
A favorite post of mine because I love looking back on my travels. Italy was my first time out of the country since I was 5, and I loved every minute of the trip!!

There you have it! Out of all of the 168 blog posts I hit publish on (so far) in 2015, these were the most read. Can’t wait to see what next year’s are!!
