The best kind of inquiries to get are the ones from friends of our current or past clients! It’s so flattering because it means that we must be doing something right!! When Nicole first emailed me last year about shooting her wedding, I was so excited to work with her and Joey (and Ruger, their dog!). Every step of our journey together leading up to and including the wedding has been so much fun for us because they are all so laid back!
The laid back thing really came in handy on their wedding day when Nicole arrived at the venue to start getting ready for the day and the WHOLE reception area overlooking the Rappahannock river was under several feet of water! Most brides would (justifiably!) be upset or stressed. Nicole smiled for a picture in front of the water that her mom uploaded to Facebook! When John and I arrived, there was still water covering a lot of the area, but it was definitely receding. Luckily, the receded enough so that the wedding could go on exactly as planned…but showing up to a flooded venue was definitely a first for us!! I was so impressed by how calm Nicole was!
Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding day!!
Nicole made these boutonnieres out of shot gun shells!! How fun is that??
Full vendor list coming soon!
Their puppy is so cute!! And I think the raging river makes the photos that much more special! I bet it sounded awesome too haha!
These are gorgeous! I love all your detail shots, Katie!
