Even though I’ve photographed almost 100 weddings to date, I can honestly say that no two wedding days are exactly alike! I think that’s one of the things that makes it such a fun and interesting job. Each couple will have their own ways of personalizing their wedding, each day itself will have new moments that make you both laugh and cry. Bonnie and Quentin’s wedding day was filled with unforgettable moments. I think any guest who left that night will remember June 20th for years to come! It was one of the hottest, most humid June days on record (we’ve had a few of those recently, am I right??) and as hot days often do, it ended in a thunderstorm. And a pretty epic one at that! It’s almost as thought mother nature knew that the day required something bigger and more grand!
Twice during dinner everyone in attendance was evacuated to the basement area of the barn because of a tornado warning in the area. Bonnie and Quentin took it in stride. A lot of people might have been upset about the weather taking a big chunk of their reception from them, but they were both so cool and calm about it! I thought it was great how they both stayed so positive and still had a wonderful time. Instead of focusing on the negative, they focused on what was really most important at that time. What better way to start a marriage than that? If they can take on every challenge in life the way they did having to evacuate on their wedding day, they’ll be doing pretty great!
Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day!! We hope you love these photos!!
