I don’t think I’ve ever really talked about it much on the blog, but I LOVE music. It might not seem like it since I recently admitted that I have never been to a concert, but I really do love it! I was the 7 year old Korean child who really wanted to be a country singer when she grew up. That dream didn’t really pan out, but I never stopped loving music! I just wish I actually had some musical talent…haha. My only real musical gift is for making MIX CDS. I love a good mix cd! To me there’s something really intimate about sharing your favorite songs with a friend or someone you like via old technology…haha. Cds are becoming obsolete though, so I need to get with the times!

Right now I’m really into Justin Timberlake’s new album, the 20/20 experience! Especially the first single, Suit and Tie. I think I like it so much because we need more suits and ties in society today and less Honey boo boo child. I’m not trying to hate on HBBC, but I do think that JT’s new song reminds me of a time when people cared about dressing up and trying. I don’t know…maybe I’m just being old fashioned or just getting old, but the song really is awesome!

JT aside, I like a little bit of everything, but my favorites are alternative bands like Band of Horses, the Avett Brothers, and the Temper Trap. And I actually just bought a ticket to see Band of Horses play in Norfolk this May! I’m really excited because a lot of bands I really like have weekend dates and I have weddings booked on weekends during the summer. I’m pretty obsessed with Band of Horses though, so I’m glad my first concert experience is going to be theirs!

I also listen to a lot of other random stuff! I LOVE Hall and Oates more than it’s normal for a 25 year old female to. I don’t know why I love them, I just do!  90’s pop and r&b are also favorites, especially when I’m in the car. I love classic Britney Spears, Will Smith’s clean rap songs, and Montell Jordan. My next goal in life is to open a 90’s pop and r&b bar…wouldn’t that be awesome?? I would go every weekend…or maybe the twice a year I go to bars would be to that one.
