Personal goals:
- Create a meal plan and cook dinner at least four nights a week (HAHAHA…fail. I’m still working on this, but it’s hard and takeout is so good…)
Go to bed at the same time every night(These days I go to bed when John does. Score!)- Make it to the gym at least four days a week (HA! I started training for a half marathon, but the past few days I have been sick.)
- Read a book a month (at least)
- Shoot for ME (I hope to get to this in the off season)
All in all, I would say the past three months have been pretty successful. Yes, money is really tight around the Nesbitts’ right now, and there is a lot of stress that I never expected would be a part of being a small business owner…but I also wake up happy and excited about each and every day. I no longer dread weekdays or watch the clock all day wishing I was somewhere else. And I can tell that the life change has helped my photography too! I feel much more creative and excited to shoot because I’m not worn out and overwhelmed all the time. Β It’s AWESOME.
Since photographers aren’t supposed to blog without sharing pictures too, here’s a peek at my little office! It’s still in progress, but it will be on the blog on Thursday!!
I love that little space and your fun striped tape π Yay for crossing things off of the list!
I’m excited to see your office! π
yay! can’t wait to see more pics of your office! i can’t wait until one day when i can have one haha. yours is so cute and quaint! π
I quit my full time job in March and also had a list of goals that I really wanted to stick too. Luckily, I have accomplished a lot of awesome things since then and I am actually proud of myself, and super proud of you! I know how hard it is and stressful and I admire anyone who takes the leap of faith and dives head first into what they are passionate about. Congrats!!
You’re on a roll girl! So good to put goals out there and keep yourself accountable π You’ve got this
love it! maybe we can have a “shoot for fun” adventure. get it girl!!
washi tape <3
Great job on keeping yourself accountable towards your goals!
PS – I’m lucky if I cook 1 night a week – takeout is tasty π
I love your little office space, and the shelf! (Ikea?) Reading this makes me excited about the prospect of eventually going full-time. I have a LONG way to go…still working my way around my camera, for one, but I’m thankful there are photogs out there so willing to help each other out and be real about where they’re at! It’s a little overwhelming, okay, a lot, but it’s not impossible!
Great job! I hope you share your client organizing system! lol!! π
Yes, I also went full time this summer, and there are many things left to do on my list!
I can’t believe you have been full time for three months now! Congratulations. : )
I am so glad to see all of the progress you have made against your personal and professional goals. I especially love the read a book a month and cook dinner four times a week goals! You have inspired me to strive to do the same.
Keep up the sensational work, Katie!
