Despite having been to DC about a million times and having seen every OTHER monument in town, I’d never been to the Lincoln Memorial before my Liz and Alex asked to do their engagement session there! It was so hard to believe I hadn’t been there before, but I was glad to check it off of my bucket list (assuming, that seeing the Lincoln Memorial is something that should be on there??). Though it was a fairly mild Sunday afternoon in DC, it wasn’t nearly as congested as I feared it might be! I think the thick layer of snow still left on the ground kept people away. I can’t complain too much about the snow…I think it’s gorgeous! And it’s a perfect natural reflector!!
Liz and Alex are both currently living in Old Town Alexandria, so they chose to do their session at the Lincoln Memorial and in Old Town to remember this special chapter in their lives together! I love that when they look back at these images they’ll hopefully also look back fondly on this time in their lives! Enjoy a few of my favorites from our time together:)
After we finished at the Lincoln Memorial, we headed back to Old Town for a quick outfit change and a change of scenery!
Our last stop was a little coffee shop in old town!
