Today’s blog post is a little different, but I’m really excited about it! Last spring I attended the first of Sincerely Amy Designs’ calligraphy workshops, Cocktails and Calligraphy hosted by As You Wish, where I met Brandi and Julie for the first time. I mentioned to Brandi that we should have lunch sometime, and from there a friendship was born! I work all over the VA/DC/MD area and have lots of vendor friends spread all over, but Brandi is one of the few people who lives less than an hour from me! It’s so nice to have someone semi-nearby to brunch or beer with once in a while. I’ve loved getting to know her over the past year!

When she asked me to take some business portraits of her and the girls of As You Wish, I was excited to! Business portraits are not my typical niche as a photographer, but I do really enjoy candid, lifestyle portraiture, which these photos sort of felt like. It was so much fun spending an afternoon hanging out with these gals!
