A Case of the Mondays #44

After being away for a week, this weekend also happened to be the first weekend in many weeks that John and I were both completely free on a Saturday with no work in sight and no real plans…it was so weird, but also much needed! I feel so lucky to have had him second shoot with me this season (we wouldn’t have seen each other If he hadn’t!) but having a weekend together to do nothing was so refreshing!

Saturday we actually did shoot, but it didn’t really feel like work at all. I shot some images of our good friends and their new baby Vance. You might remember them from the images I took at the shower and of the nursery! I am definitely not a newborn photographer, but I am so in love with the images i captured! Their kid is so freaking cute he makes grimaces look adorable.

Sunday we did some early Christmas shopping and then headed home to watch movies and I took A NAP. Totally unheard of around hear since probably last winter. I put my pillow pet to good use and caught up on some much needed rest!!

This week I am so excited to catch up on office work and start dreaming about all of the things I want to accomplish in the off season. I also really love that this time of year can mean that “work” is devouring favorite wedding magazines, like Southern Weddings! I plan to make that part of my to do list this week!! Holler!

Also, this is super random but we recently bought our cat a drinking fountain from Target and she’s kind of undecided on how she feels about it. I just really want to discourage her from drinking out of the toilet. Anyone have tips on getting cats to drink from a bowl??

Hope you all have an awesome Monday!! See you on the flip side! (John says this to me every day and I love it!)

Aww I can’t wait to see more from the baby session! Have you tried adding tuna water to the water to entice Lucy to drink from the bowl? Don’t do all tuna water (you can create an addict that way!) but if you drain some water from a tuna can (tuna in water, not tuna in oil) into a bowl and add water that should do it! Then just decrease the amount of tuna water you put in each day. And keep the toilet bowl lid closed! 😉

That baby is adorable! And I love shoots that are so much fun you forget that they are “work” – – love!
