A Case of the Mondays #48

Life has been a little slower for me the past couple of weeks, and it’s been a MUCH NEEDED change of pace! I honestly didn’t know what I was taking on this year when I signed up to co-host a workshop with my friends, shoot 26 weddings, and start Marry & Bright with my friend. I LOVE taking on a ton at one time. I relish being busy and having lots of things going on. But what I’m realizing is, everyone really needs a break from time to time, and my body has been telling me “CHILL OUT, DUDE” for a week now. Thanks cold, I appreciate it. Not.

I’m pretty much almost over my cold now, which is great since I already missed a week of training for my marathon. And this recovery is large in part due to the humidifier we bought on Thursday…it’s AMAZING. I feel like my life has been changed by this $40 appliance. It’s BALLER, you guys. As much as I complain about humidity and what it does to my hair…I miss it when it’s gone!

Also…another life changing purchase we made: SNICKERDOODLE MILK. Oh. My God. So freaking delicious!!!!!!!! We were kind of hanging out in front of the case that has Egg Nog and other holiday milks in Target deciding whether or not we wanted to try Egg Nog and we both just kind of looked at each other and unanimously decided Snickerdoodle Milk sounded way better. So it went home with us…and we’ve been in heaven ever since. Okay, that’s dramatic, but it’s soooo good. You guys will want to try some. With cookies. Or Bailey’s. Or both.

Last night we went ice skating with friends. We haven’t ice skated since before we were really dating, so it was a lot of fun to go and basically try our best not to fall down. Outdoor ice skating is probably one of my favorite Christmas activities! I’m really hoping that if we make it to NYC this year we can skate in Bryant Park 🙂

That’s it for me today! I’m hoping to wrap up my to-do list early so I can duck out of the office and finish my Christmas shopping. What are you all planning for today?

I can’t wait for things to slow down- this is my last week of teaching, but I still have two more weddings and a Redskins game before the end of the year. Then I can FINALLY relax. I can’t wait 🙂

I have always wanted to try/buy a humidifier… since I have bad allergies. I might just purchase one this week. I am glad you are feeling better!

I’m so ready for things to slow down for me in January! I’m jealous! Last wedding of the year this weekend and then it’s relaxation until March!

Dude, snickerdoodle milk. I know you mentioned it but I didn’t know if it was any good but I literally stood in front of it yesterday for ten minutes contemplating it. I guess I’ll go back and get some when I get lights for my new tree 🙂

  5. What the hell’s a snicker doodle milk? Whatever it is…IM BUYING IT! 😉

Ohh, would love to ice skate outside! Our seasons has already slowed down, but when you are rebranding(and doing it all yourself) it takes a lot of your time 🙂
