A Case of the Mondays #50

Uncategorized

January 6, 2014

It feels so weird to me that today is the first Monday of the year! Since I went came back to work last Thursday, my days have been really thrown off…I thought Friday was Tuesday and Saturday was a Sunday. It’s funny how that happens whenever you do something outside of your normal routine.

We had an adventure at Whole Foods and a local brewery on Saturday afternoon…I tried my first IPA (not my favorite thing…) and then bought way more stuff than I should have at Whole Foods! Whole Foods is one of my favorite places to go…we don’t have one near us yet (though one is set to open in 2015…) so we really get excited about making a trip out there. We LOVE the Whole Foods hot bar, especially the Mac and Cheese! I bought a ton of that, and a bunch of other random things that we really didn’t need, but we can’t buy anywhere else, so they felt like necessary purchases. Also, can we talk about how cool it is that some Whole Foods locations have beer on tap??I love it!

This was our idea of a double date with our friends this weekend.

What did you guys do this weekend? Anyone have a busy, productive week planned out this week? I’m so excited to start crossing things off of my to-do list and just making things happen. One of the best things about being self employed is seeing the effects of all that you do on your business. I know that my business will only grow as much as I’m willing to work hard, and if I really work hard and am always fighting for what I want, I can have it. That beats out sitting in a cube waiting for someone else to decide to give me a promotion anyday.

Lots of great content scheduled for the blog this week! A wintery engagement session, some apartment decor updates, and lots more!  Stay tuned!

Whole Foods is the best!! I have a Wegmens .2 miles from me and a Whole Foods 1.5 miles from me…I’m spoiled.

I’m with you on the crazy days so far. Today feels like it should be the first day of the year really.

I used to live right next to the Whole Foods and would always overspend! I miss it but the money savings is nice! 🙂

I totally agree that the last few weeks have been jumbled and my brain can’t really keep track of what day it is! Having a Whole Foods close-by is DANGEROUS…I mean shouldn’t all grocery stores have a wine bar so you can sip while you shop?! 😀 Happy 2014 love!

My week has been absolutely thrown off too. Can you believe I’ve never been to a Whole Foods?! Crazy right? I guess I’ll have to go find one and explore!

  6. This truly felt like my first weekend OFF – nothing planned except to get some work done that I chose to do and host some friends over for a Sunday get together. It was a blast to not HAVE to feel like I had to do any certain thing – excited for a few more months of this before the season starts back up!

I wish there was a Whole Foods near me too. None set to open anytime soon. Until then we have MOMs and a local place I love called Common Market. I think it’s funny how the holidays make me realize how much of a routine I actually have, I don’t realize it until I am totally off of it. This weekend I second shot my first wedding of 2014! And watched Little Mermaid while it ice stormed outside. Fun fun!

Whole foods has beer on tap? Crazy! There aren’t any near me either. I love what you said about being self employed vs. sitting in a cubicle waiting on someone else to determine your destiny. F that noise.
