Oh gosh you guys…this cold weather. Is it ever really going away? This weekend wasn’t as bad as it has been…but there are a few days this week with lows in the teens and I just can’t handle it! I am really not used to cold weather…I’m so accustomed to the warm winters around here I can’t really understand what it’s like to actually have to buy a real winter coat. My thickest coat is the fleece North Face Denali jacket. I’m definitely ready for this cold snap to relent a little.

Despite the cold, I had a really busy weekend! I shot some birth pictures for a friend and fellow photographer on Friday morning! This was so out of the realm of what I normally do, but I really enjoyed getting to be a part of this and seeing their little family of three become a family of four! I’m excited to share a few more from this with you guys later on!

Saturday, I shot a Valentine’s day themed shoot styled by Dear Sweetheart Events for Heart Love Weddings! I had so much fun photographing this lifestyle shoot…I am really excited to share more with you guys, but for now I’m only sharing iPhone sneaks. In February, you’ll be able to see the full shoot on Heart Love Weddings, along with a breakdown of how a few of the DIY projects Kat created for the shoot were put together! Kat is so crafty, you guys are going to love what she came up with!!

Sunday was so great…I’m going to start calling Sundays Bloody Mary Days. I LOVE them. My bloody mary this weekend had pickle juice…another one of my secret loves. I can’t get enough of pickles or pickle juice! I love salt, vinegar, and pickles. YUM. It was great to spend Sunday afternoon relaxing after a pretty busy weekend. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve really done any shooting, so it was nice to get back behind the camera a little bit! I can’t wait to get these images edited so I can share more!!

In other news, due to the cold snap forecasted for the rest of this week, I’m running my long run today instead of Friday…today’s run is a 17 miler (yikes!), so please wish me luck!!! At my pace, that’s about three solid hours of nothing but running!! Gah!! I am so nervous about it. Does anyone else get like that before a really long run? Another thing that’s really scary is I only have two more really long runs before the marathon…an 18 miler and a 20…then it’s going to be time to do the marathon for real! So nervous…and scared!!!
