Photographing during Cherry Blossom peak week in DC is one of the craziest experiences. Sunrise is really the only time you can make this work, but even at that time of day the entire tidal basin is completely packed with photographers, sightseers, etc! Although shooting during this small window of craziness can be a little challenging, it’s SO worth it. When you see the blooms yourself you see that there’s no wonder that it’s so popular…they’re pretty darn amazing!

Molly and Chris are both from the Boston area but didn’t meet and fall in love until they moved to DC. That makes it so fitting that we did their engagement photos with these quintessentially DC backdrops!

I enjoyed spending the morning with Molly and Chris and can’t wait for their wedding this Fall!!
