One of the biggest joys my job allows me is being able to be a part of so many incredible life moments! Usually for me, that means being there on a wedding day. I’m frequently front and center on one of the most important days in a couple’s life together. I never take that for granted…it’s just amazing, and I consider myself so lucky to get to witness all of these emotional moments! When a photographer friend, Amanda asked me to photograph some memories of their new daughter, Ellie’s first few hours on Earth, I was incredibly flattered! Anytime a photographer asks you to photograph for them, it’s a huge honor…but to get to take part in such an important moment in their lives, was so exciting!

Amanda and Mike are the cutest couple you’ve ever seen…their dream of having a family, of having two adorable daughters had finally come true. They were so excited and happy to welcome Ellie into their family! Watching them dote on their two littles (big sister Cammy, and newborn Ellie) was one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen! Like reverse birth control! Haha. In all seriousness, I can’t think of two people better suited to be parents, and I can’t imagine two little girls being more loved by their parents than their two daughters. So sweet!

While I can’t say that birth photography is something I’m going to be branching out into anytime soon, except for maybe for friends, I really did love shooting these sweet moments of the start of their life as a family of four! Here are a few of my favorites from our time together!
