When I first started thinking about hosting a party to show my promo film for the first time it was kind of a silly idea that I didn’t really plan on taking anywhere. But when I started working on the new branding too it started to seem like too good of an idea to pass up! I love parties and I’ve never really had an excuse to have one. I also felt like since I’ve been lucky enough to be in business for a few years (and also do this full time for three), I wanted a chance to be able to say thank you to friends and vendors who have supported me throughout growing the business. One thing I hadn’t really thought about was how difficult it might be to plan a party during my busiest stretch of wedding season. Luckily the girls of the Darling Event stepped in to put together this fun event!
My favorite things about parties are always the details and the girls of the Darling Event put together so many fun and thoughtful touches that I really loved. The party was such a fun evening and I’m so glad that we did it! Thank you so much to all who came, especially to the other friends who made the night happen:
Photos by my friend, Serena!
The girls set up this station for guests to browse my brand new site for the first time! I loved that they used my real desk! Sweet Fix made AMAZING donut macarons filled with NUTELLA. So good.
One of my ideas was to serve signature drinks. My favorites were the Katie and the Lucy! I’m sure that people thought I was crazy when I asked if we could do a drink inspired by my cat, but it turned out to be such a fun little part of the party!
Amanda did all of the flowers! I loved them so much. I just think she’s the best! She was one of my brides in 2012 and then also my business partner for a little bit on a blog we ran together for a few months. Watching her business flourish has been so awesome! And I was lucky enough to get to bring some home to Lucy afterward, who really enjoyed how the flowers tasted 😉
Thank you so much to everyone who came! Sadly I didn’t think to have a photo taken before some people left, but I’m glad that we have a group photo with most of everyone who was able to make it! We had friends drive well over 1-2 hours to make the trip to celebrate in Richmond and that really does mean the world to me! I am so thankful for all that were able to attend and celebrate premiering the new site and film and the past four years of KNP!
