I know this is a few days late, but with the new brand launching, this is really my first opportunity to share all of my exploits from last month!! I’m sorry guys! I promise to do better next month.

September Highlights:

• Fall wedding season! Shortly after we moved apartments for the SECOND time, my Fall wedding season started! I traveled quite a bit last month…Yesterday I noticed that I put 2000 MILES on our car in travel!! Seriously?? And to think I thought I would be saving gas and wear and tear on the car when I went full time:) Ha! It’s been so worth it though, because the weddings that I’ve been so lucky to be a part of have all been just spectacular!
•  Sister time! Rachel and Jade’s wedding was in Maryland, just about 30 minutes from where my sister lives while she’s stationed in Bethesda. I was so happy to get to spend the weekend with her…we hardly ever see each other anymore. Since she lives in between DC and Baltimore we took a day trip to the Inner Harbor. The last time I was there was for my 21st birthday, when John took me for a cruise on the spirit of Baltimore! It was fun to see the city with my sister.
• Tumblr. I started a tumblr to post all of the random things that are not really “blog material” but are still amusing to me. I’m not very good at tumblr yet (I think I’m too old…is tumblr apparently for teenagers?), but if you like how random I can be (or want to know) you should follow me!
• Staying dry! Okay, this one might sound silly, but August was such a nightmare, I’m just thankful for no natural disasters this month!

What’s next in October:

• MY NEW BRAND LAUNCHES!   Okay, so this one already happened. But I don’t know if you can tell at all, BUT I AM THRILLED. I LOVE how my site turned out! My designer is a beast at designing! I have to give props to anyone who can get inside of my head (filled with the most random of things) and make a COHESIVE site out of it! I mean I literally emailed her to ask her things like “Can I have the keyboard cat video on my site somewhere?”. I know, I know. And she made it work!!!! Love my site, Loved working with Three Fifteen Design, and love keyboard cats.
• The END of my wedding season. Oh I can’t believe this one is coming so soon, and I may cry when it happens. I am so thankful to have made so many new friends and worked on so many beautiful weddings this year. I really feel lucky to have had such a full season my first FULL year as a wedding photographer. I am so completely blown away at how amazing this year (and my couples) have been to me!
• October-y stuff! I LOVE OCTOBER. It’s one of my favorite months of the year! It’s only second to May! I’m one of those people that can’t really enjoy Fall until it’s legitimately Fall weather outdoors, so hopefully I will get to enjoy my favorite Leaves candle a lot, drink apple cider, etc. I really want to go apple picking, maybe back to the corn maze, and carve pumpkins! AND I CAN’T WAIT TO WEAR MY NORTHFACE AGAIN
