Recently Amanda and David finally had their long awaited engagement session! Due to living far away (in Hawaii!) and the ever changing pandemic, both their wedding and engagement photos have been postponed multiple times! I feel so much for my clients who have had to shift and change their plans so much over the course of the past couple of years…almost no one has had to pivot their wedding plans quite as much as these two have!
Amanda found the most unique location in the heart of Old Town Alexandria for their photos! I have done many sessions in Old Town Alexandria over the years, but this was my first time discovering the Stabler – Leadbetter Apothecary Museum. It lent itself well to a sort of “Harry Potter” vibe that Amanda and David are really into! They both love the Harry Potter series (David even included a copy of one of the Harry Potter books into his proposal to Amanda) so this location was the PERFECT vibe for them! I really love when couples incorporate things that they really love into their photos.
This was so much fun to work in a unique space and capture them in their element:) Here are a few of my favorites! I’m looking forward to finally photographing their big day this summer!!
These are so beautiful, Katie! I love the theme, venue and how it was beautifully captured (and obviously the couple)! Whenever an e-session has a theme I find it hard sometimes to capture it in a tasteful/elegant way and I think you did this perfectly!
