This time of year ends up being so great for engagement sessions and I think there are a few reasons for that. First, you can’t beat the weather! It’s so beautiful this time of year and last Friday was a great example of that! Sometimes I get nervous about scheduling engagement sessions for our couples who live out of state because it’s a lot harder to reschedule for inclement weather. Christine and John were visiting last weekend from Nashville and Friday ended up being a perfect 70 degree day!

The second reason I think spring is so great for engagement sessions is that after a long, cold winter and some downtime to refresh, reflect, and recharge (and practice alliteration…haha) I’m always so inspired this time of year. I can’t help but think that all of the pretty blooms and the soft light have something to do with it too.

Colonial Williamsburg this time of year is always so great! Christine and John will be getting married nearby at the William and Mary chapel later this year (where her parents were also married!) and I can’t wait to be a part of it!! Enjoy a few of my favorites from their engagement session!
