Oh gosh. Where do I begin trying to describe what Diana and Chris’ wedding day was like? In addition to being classic and completely elegant, their wedding was probably one of the the most emotional wedding days we’ve ever shot. From the beginning of the day to the very end, so many happy tears were shed. I even teared up a few times myself! It was the kind of day that really reaffirmed for me why what I get to do is so special and so important. I can’t even begin to describe how lucky I feel to get to witness this kind of joy on a regular basis!

The day started out at Diana’s childhood home in Williamsburg. I loved EVERYTHING about Diana’s bridal look, including her gown from The Inspired Bride and her Manolo Blahniks So classic and elegant!

Diana’s parents read from the book of Ruth. “But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried.”

And they’re married!! Woo hoo! Fun fact: their portraits were actually shot at the very location that John and I got married!

On to the reception at the beautiful Settlement at Powhatan Creek! One of their cute details was a Gala apple at each guest’s place setting that doubled as a seating card and a favor…the apples were significant because Diana’s family always says no meal is complete without an apple, and their mutual friend Gala was the one who introduced them!
