I just realized that my one year blogiversary came and went about a week and a half ago!  Blogging is something that I have come to love and really enjoy over the past year. I started the blog because I felt like I had to, but then somewhere along the way I started to really have fun with it! I love sharing my clients and their beautiful lives and weddings, but I think my favorite thing about blogging is being able to connect with people on a really personal level! It’s really rewarding to know that you may have helped someone by posting a tutorial or maybe you encouraged someone by sharing how you always struggled with something. I also really like being able to contribute something positive to the internet…there is soooo much out there that’s just awful and unnecessary.

For a while now, I have tried really hard to blog almost every day. Sometimes life gets in the way and it just doesn’t happen, but most of the time I’m able to make it work. In honor of the first year blogiversary, I’m going to share two of the tools I use to make blogging that much easier!

Blogstomp
Okay…if you haven’t started using Blogstomp by now, well what’s wrong with you? KIDDING. Seriously though, Blogstomp is one of the best time savers I’ve implemented in my workflow to date. Instead of having to resize everything one by one in Photoshop, I can prep all of the images for a blog post with just a couple clicks! It’s just about the easiest thing I’ve ever used! You can also create your own “presets” for sizes you use frequently, such as for your blog or for Facebook.

Faster Image Insert
This one is going to be a HUGE, HUGE help to anyone who has a wordpress.org (meaning you have your own domain name) blog but not prophoto. I just don’t like the prophoto templates…I prefer the look of a custom blog. But without prophoto, I miss out on a lot of the cool features, like being able to insert a ton of images at once. Well, not anymore! Gone are the days when it would take me an hour and a half to prep a wedding blog post. With the Faster Image Insert plugin I can upload and insert all of the images I want to use ALL AT ONE TIME. Definitely my favorite Plug In for WordPress!
