It was such a joy getting to finally watch Emily and Cameron get married!! One of the best parts of my job is getting to know such fun couples every year. I first met these two almost TWO years ago when they were first starting out their wedding planning. Photography was so important to them that they wanted to make sure they hired someone they loved early on. I was so honored that they chose me, knowing how much they valued pictures! I LOVE working with people who love photos!

To say that I was happy to see their wedding day finally arrive was an understatement! We’d been talking about it for so long it was kind of surreal to me that it was happening! I can only imagine how these two felt! Their emotional ceremony was my favorite part of the day. The minister asked their parents to stand and share words of wisdom and Emily’s dad said something I thought was beautiful. He spoke of trees and how you want to try to be the kind of tree that isn’t easily uprooted. The largest of oak trees can be torn down by a big hurricane, but palm trees are built to withstand heavy winds and even become stronger with each passing storm. Be like a palm tree, he said. Let your marriage be strong enough to not just withstand any storms that come your way, but become better because of them.
