Summer/Fall Wedding Previews!

Weddings

September 17, 2018

It feels like it’s been a while since, doesn’t it? I have been so busy that blogging has taken a bit of a back seat for the time being. Being too busy to blog means that I’ve got TONS of exciting stuff to share though so I thought I’d post a little peek at what I’ve been up to (and what you can expect to see on the blog very soon!).

Fiona and Andrew’s wedding at Upper Shirley Vineyards was a really unique and personalized event that showcased a lot of elements reflecting Fiona’s Scottish heritage. Upper Shirley is one of my favorite Virginia wineries, so I loved photographing there!

Jen and Sean’s engagement session was at another one of my favorite Virginia wineries…King Family Vineyards! I drove through a thunderstorm to get to this session (that had already been rescheduled several times due to inclement weather!) but we lucked out with a nice sunset!!

Lisette and Graham are two of the most fun people I’ve ever worked with and their wedding was no different…Lisette never stopped smiling and their reception was for sure one for the memory books. You’ll want to check out their blog post when it’s live to see the fun surprise during their reception!

Elizabeth and Kevin’s wedding was my first time photographing at the Mill at Fine Creek right outside of Richmond and it was literally the PERFECT day for a wedding! After having a hot summer we lucked out with a gorgeous day…I did get a large (almost golf ball sized!!) bug bite on my face, but that’s a story for another time…haha.

I was really looking forward to Kelly and Wes’s wedding day in Maryland at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club and they did not disappoint! It started raining halfway through the day but they didn’t let it dampen their spirits (terrible pun intended…ha). Loved working with this laid back group!

A week later I found myself back at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club for Lindsay and Daniel’s wedding! With Hurricane Florence in the forecast all week, it was somewhat nerve wracking trying to plan ahead to tackle the day in case of flooding and heavy rain, but not only did the hurricane turn farther away than initally forecasted, the sun made an appearance and the outdoor ceremony went on as planned!!

The day after Lindsay and Dan’s wedding I was in Manassas for Krista and Alex’s wedding at the Winery at Bull Run. Yet another day that Hurricane Florence threatened…but got to go on outdoors as originally planned! I was so worried for both couples, but they ended up with absolutely beautiful wedding days!

Whew, that was a lot, wasn’t it? It’s been a really busy past several weeks over here, but I’m enjoying the ride! Can’t wait to share more from each of these weddings/sessions! I’m planning to share a post with personal life updates too at some point, so please stay tuned!!
