100 Weddings and sneak peeks!

We’re kind of in the thick of our crazy season right now, but it’s been so much fun! And I can see a little break coming up (as in, we actually have next Sunday off!!), so that is exciting! Speaking of exciting, I hit a huge milestone with the business yesterday…I photographed my 100th wedding!!!

It’s crazy to think back to four years ago when I shot my first wedding and desperately wanted to book weddings and to make something with my business. If you had told me that over these past few seasons we would photograph ONE HUNDRED weddings (and counting!) I would have had a hard time believing you. It’s even crazier to think back a little farther to a time when I had no idea what I would do with my life. I never pictured becoming a wedding photographer (though I dreamed about being almost everything else! Haha) but what I wanted most was a career where I could do something creative but also bring bring joy to other people. This is what is at the heart of my job now…making people feel great on their wedding day and providing them with images that let them relive the day time and time again.

For this big weekend we had a double header! Weekend #1 was in Luray, VA at Faithbrooke Farm and Vineyards! This brand new venue has spectacular views and was home to a crazy awesome party on Saturday when Rachelle and Zeke said I do!

Sunday, we celebrated the big 100 in Bluemont, VA at what’s probably my newest favorite venue, Whitehall Manor! It was so pretty, with so many little spots for photos I could have done portraits all day if I could! Meagan and Tim were so amazing!! Loved seeing them tie the knot 🙂

100 weddings may not seem like a big deal to someone who’s been in business a million years, but I don’t take it lightly. It’s a huge deal for someone to believe in you and give you that job, no matter how long you’ve been doing it. I am really just so grateful to everyone who’s believed in me, even from the start when I had just a Canon Rebel and a dream and trusted me with their wedding photography up to this point. I know that none of this would be possible without all of you guys! Thank you for supporting the business and in turn, our little family:) I’m eternally grateful that you’ve let me make a dream come true!
