A Case of the Mondays #16

Okay so I’m starting to really get stressed out about the fact that its already the end of April. John and I were saying a couple of days ago that we thought it was. just. Christmas. For real! I know I say this a lot but I really don’t know where the time goes. This past weekend was my very last weekend off until JULY. Can’t believe that wedding season has snuck up on me so fast! I can’t wait to get going on shooting all of these awesome weddings!! I have a great group of couples this year and I’m genuinely excited about each one of their wedding days!

This might be kind of random but, can I just say I’m in love with the new Chobani flips??? I discovered them Saturday and ate two of them yesterday. I’m officially addicted!! If you don’t know what they are, they’re these flavored Greek yogurts packaged with different mix ins. My favorites are the key lime with white chocolate chips and graham crackers as well as the coconut with almond and chocolate chips. So good!! And pretty good for you too!! They’re what I consider a win/win on my quest to eat/live healthier:)

Speaking of living healthier, the tragedy last week in Boston has kind of reaffirmed my goal to run a marathon. I’ve been running off and on for the past few years and telling myself that a marathon is a “someday” goal. Last year I was semi-serious about it, but working full time AND running my growing business didn’t leave me a ton of free time. I need to find a race to run in and actually register because this time I’m really serious. I don’t think me running a race like this is going to be able to bring back the people that lost their lives, or even affect much change at all, but I’m thinking I would also really like to raise some money by running and donate it to the Red Cross or possibly even the actual Boston Red Cross. Can you tell I’m still kind of thinking about this? I don’t really know what exactly I want to do, or what race to run yet (a lot of the races I was interested in are on Saturdays when I have weddings) so if you have any suggestions for me (races to run, how to raise money) or you’ve ever done anything like this, please let me know! Other than discovering Chobani flips and deciding to run a marathon for real while on the treadmill on Sunday, I really didn’t do much this weekend. Which was GREAT because my season starts next weekend and I’m second shooting this Saturday, so I need all the rest I can get! What did you guys get into over the weekend? Would anyone be interested in actually teaming up with me to run a marathon? Maybe we can raise a lot of money if we have a few people doing it? How does it work when you raise money by running?? Help me!

I would love to team up with you and make this a goal! We can pick one in the middle 🙂 I am NOT a runner, but I definitely want to run at least a half marathon at some point! Why not now?

  2. CHOBANI FLIPS ARE DELICIOUS! My favorite are the chocolate/coconut/almond and the honey/banana. 🙂

Makes me wanna try to make my own yoghurt and but some yummy stuff in it but I’ll settle for a Ben & Jerry’s for now. By the way, love your work!!

On November 16th in Richmond they have a marathon, half-marathon, and 8k (5-miler) that I’ve heard great things about. I have no idea how long training takes and whether or not that would be too soon. Also, I am beyond hooked on Chobani flips and introduced my BFF (Amanda Conner) to them also 🙂 Key lime is my favorite too!
