I grew up in Virginia and although I know I shouldn’t be surprised by crazy weather (one day warm and beautiful, the next freezing cold), I still always get my hopes up when we have a random couple of days of 60 degree temps! This weekend was so cold and rainy we stayed inside for most of it…the exception being my 6 mile run in the cold and wind on Saturday. Training for a marathon in the winter has been…interesting. In some ways it actually hasn’t been as hard as running in the summer. But then, in others, it’s definitely worse. Two words for you guys: Wind. Burn. Not super pleasant if you couldn’t guess:) Today I’m also supposed to go on a training run, but I’m feeling a little bit under the weather. So instead I’m going to work from the couch and watch Christmas movies! Sounds way better, doesn’t it??

We had a “normal” weekend (as in normal for regular people, abnormal for us since we were off) and I made Thanksgiving dinner! Thanksgiving after the holiday has become somewhat of a tradition for us since we always spend the holiday out of town…we never really get to experience the BEST part of the holiday….Leftovers!! We ate Thanksgiving all weekend and started watching Scandal on Netflix. Scandal. Omg. So crazy!! Does anyone else watch this show??
