I know we are all really glad the government has opened back up…at least, I know I am! The shutdown that lasted for the past couple weeks forced people to move their weddings, and led Christina and Matt to have to change the location of their engagement session! Since Christina grew up in Fredericksburg, we had originally discussed shooting at Chatham Manor. But due to the shutdown, we ended up having to shuffle things around. Instead of starting at Chatham Manor, we started instead on the campus of Mary Washington and then stopped for ice cream cones at Carl’s (a Fredericksburg staple!) and then headed on to the ADORABLE historic downtown area. That was probably the first time I’d been to any of these places, but it was so much fun!!
I adored all of the cute details and props that these two scientists brought with them to their session, like these JMU colored balloons! (They met at JMU!). Enjoy a few of my favorites!!
Lovely session! Nothing beats a classic bottle of coke, balloons, and a beautiful couple! 🙂
Those balloons! And that picnic! And that park! I just love this session Katie! It’s so much fun!
LOVE THIS! Her facial expression when they’re drinking out of the coke bottles is so flirty! So cute. That ring shot on the bottle with the amazing straw? Perfect!
Love the pop of that red jacket!! The ice cream shots are adorbs.
Beautiful session, beautiful couple!! LOVE!
They are so cute and I’m obsessing over her second outfit! That blazer is PERFECT!
They look like such a sweet couple and the images are gorgeous! I love the cokes with the striped straws and the picnic idea!
