Today is not only Monday, it’s the four month anniversary since I left my full time job to run my business full time! , I am ELATED that I’ve made it this far without completely falling on my face or having to crawl back to my job and beg them to hire me back. But that isn’t because we haven’t had tough times or struggled at all since we started the transition. Things can be challenging, especially budgeting your money when you don’t know for sure where and when you will get your next paycheck. I’ve also had to take my business a lot more seriously, including telling people NO much more frequently. That’s SO hard for me to do. It’s not like other jobs I’ve had where I could make my manager my scapegoat!  I AM the manager/owner/etc and the only one to blame when people can’t get what they want.

Even through all of the struggles and the fears (and tears) over the past four months, I’m still so glad that I took the leap. There’s no job or avenue you can take in life that doesn’t bring you at least a little bit of stress, so it’s all about how you look at things. So I know for sure we made the right decision because I never dread Mondays anymore….I welcome them with open arms.
