Molly and Chris were married this May at the Cosmos Club in Washington DC. There was so much to love about their wedding, from the gorgeous venue to the portraits at the monuments, but I think my favorite thing (besides working with Molly and Chris…who were amazing!!) were the florals! The florals by Amaryllis were absolutely incredible. I loved the big, fluffy coral charm peonies that accented Molly’s bouquet and the centerpieces and the little teeny citrus fruits that were part of the boutonnieres! Such a joy to photograph!

I normally meet (or Skype or phone chat) with each of my couples before their wedding day, but the first time I met both Molly and Chris was when I walked into their getting ready suites the morning of the wedding! Ever the introvert, I was a tiny bit nervous meeting for the first time on such a big day, but they were the kindest, most laid back couple! So fun to work with! From the girls champagne toast in the bridal suite to the party at the reception everyone was in a great mood all day and just super excited for Molly and Chris to finally tie the knot. I was thrilled to be a part of their wedding!

One really fun thing that Molly and Chris did that I loved was renting trolleys to take their guests around the city on a tour of the monuments while we were doing photos! It was such a treat for them since a lot of their friends and family traveled from out of town.
